Visiting the UN

Visiting the UN

The United Nations Headquarters is located in New York, on First Avenue between 42nd Street and 48th Street. The site, which covers more than 18 hectares, has been proclaimed as international territory and belongs to the 193 UN Member States.

Visitors can join a guided tour of the United Nations. This offers a unique opportunity to discover and find out more about the Headquarters itself, but also about the organisation in general:

  • Visit the General Assembly Hall, the Security Council chamber, the Trusteeship Council Chamber, the Economic and Social Council Chamber, and the Conference Building,
  • Learn about issues such as disarmament, peace and security, human rights, and the Sustainable Development Goals,
  • Enjoy temporary exhibitions as well as numerous artwork, historical and traditional items donated by Member States, including the Principality.
