Invited by the New York City Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, H.E. Ms. Isabelle PICCO, Permanent Representative of the Principality of Monaco to the United Nations, visited the Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II in Brooklyn on June 19th, as part of the city’s Junior Ambassadors program.

After a presentation of the Principality, its priorities at the UN, her role as Head of Mission and her personal trajectory, the Ambassador engaged with the students of this 7th-grade class who particularly focused their questions on SDG 5 (gender equality) and 6 (clean water and sanitation).

These young students with challenging family backgrounds are actively involved in public service projects related to UN priorities and benefit from the extraordinary dedication of the governing body and teaching staff of their exemplary High school.

The Ronald Edmonds Center hosts less than 300 children and offers personalized programs to give children the tools to develop creativity, self-esteem, rigor and openness.
