On April 16th, as part of the Forum on Financing for Development follow-up, H.E. Ms. Isabelle PICCO, Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, was invited to a high level luncheon by the Health Care Impact Foundation, the Stetson Family Office and the Global Partnership Forum, to present Monaco's health initiatives.

The Ambassador pointed out that health is a priority for the Government of Monaco, which allocates 8% of its budget to it, specifically in the fields of education, health surveillance, prevention and screening. The Government also works in partnership with various stakeholders such as international organizations (WHO, GAVI) scientific research centers (CSM, CHPG laboratories), NGOs (AMADE Mondiale, Fight AIDS and the Monegasque Red Cross) as well as philanthropic organizations, in order to reach SDG 3 *.

She also shared Monegasque cooperation activities in the fight against sickle-cell disease through the formalization of a network of professionals and the study of the first responses following the release, in June 2018, of a guide to help the management of this disease. She also announced the 5th "E-Health World Monaco" Congress and the upcoming establishment of an online platform to facilitate healthcare in the Principality.
