United Nations General Assembly - Monaco is Vice-President of the Economic and Financial Committee

On Tuesday 5 June 2018, the United Nations General Assembly elected its President for the 73rd session, which will open next September.  H.E. Ms. Maria Fernanda Espinosa, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, will be the fourth woman to hold this post since the United Nations was first founded.

At this meeting, Cédric Braquetti, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations, was unanimously elected Vice-President of the 2nd Committee of the General Assembly, which is responsible for economic and financial matters.

In addition to economic issues, this Committee deals with sustainable development and globalisation.
